Continuously evolving by adding capabilities and creating a more robust robotic platform for practices.
In 1982 dental and orthodontic practices were just starting to bring computers into the dental office. The first computers in the office were little more than technology demonstrators. Most often, the computers were limited to billing, “typing” out letters, and perhaps scheduling.
Having played a role in successfully developing practice management and imaging programs, Todd and I have always searched for the “next big thing” in the dental field.
We have found it — Robotics!
Now we see the need for robotics in dental practice. Robots are where computers were in 1982, starting an unstoppable journey into our everyday practice lives. Today, we see that robots can help with simple tasks, differentiate the practice (what patients will not tell the next person they see “the dentist has a robot”), and energize the office staff. Todd and I saw the need, and we were so impressed we started the company!
With robotic experts from the Human-Robot Interaction Laboratory at Tufts University and our partners at Thinking Robots, Inc. we have launched the first socially assistive robot for dental offices: Zeeno.
